Craib Design & Communications published seven issues of AR TRENDS and four issues of CSR TRENDS, with a special issue published in 2012 specific to the mining industry. Created as guides to preparing reports, these surveys benchmarked disclosure and identified best practices in hundreds of corporate reports from around the world.

Capsule was a key collaborator in the process in both research, surveying and leading the search and selection of best practice, along with full concept, design and production of the 2010 TRENDS edition. The results show how content and design work together to deliver a story with impact.

The design reinforced the educational essence of the reports using a dynamic mix of visual devices such as chalkboard backgrounds, hand-illustrated typographic compositions and photography of the individuals involved in the survey and production of the report. All served to draw the reader into the wealth of information contained in the report, including best practice advice, quick tips, statistics, and an abundance of visual examples of best practices.
